Toasted Rice Crispy Treats

When I saw this, I knew I had to try it!

The trick to getting a good toasted marshmallow flavor is to add the extra  mini marshmallows. The extra marshes give you a a much gooier bite. I like to decorate with chocolate and sprinkles but bring our your best creativity.

Toated Rice Krispy Treats

My spin on a classic treat

Equipment

  • Kitchen Torch Linked in met Anmzon Store

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbs. Unsalted Butter, divided
  • 1 pkg. Marshmallows
  • 5 oz. Mini Marshmallows
  • 6 Cups Rice Cereal
  • Melting Chocolate, for dipping
  • Sprinkles for decorating

Instructions

  • Melt 3 Tbs. of butter in sauce pan. Reduce heat and while stirring, brown butter. Watch carefully. When it has just browned and smells nutty, remove from heat.
  • Melt other 3 Tbs. of butter in large pan.
    Add in large marshmallows and melt them.
    Stir in rice cereal and mini marshmallows until well coated..
  • Pat into a 9x13 pan and chill until set.
    Cut into squares or triangles.
    Insert stick into treat and "toast" with torch until just golden brown. Think like s'mores.
    Dip into melted chocolate and sprinkles.
    Let set and serve.
