Peach BBQ Sauce

Peach Barbecue Sauce!

What a great way to enjoy peaches, as the season moves on. Everybody loves a good barbecue, but using this peach barbecue sauce is the best of peach season and barbecue season!

It is a sweet barbecue sauce, but you can some heat with cayenne pepper or other hot sauce. Just make sure you know what kind of heat your family and guests can take. This recipe is particularly good on ribs.

Peach Barbecue Sauce

Fresh peaches and peach preserves add freshness and sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 Tbs. Smoked Paprika
  • 2 fresh peaches peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup peach preserves

Instructions

  • Combine tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, smoked paprika and chopped peaches in a medium saucepan set over medium heat.
    Bring to a low boil and then cook until thick and coats the back of a spoon, about 10 minutes.
    Stir in peach preserves. Remove from heat.
    Use an immersion blender to smooth to desired consistency. I like it with a little texture.
